AGM 8 December 2022 

 

An AGM called for 27 April 2022 was inquorate. The Committee subsequently decided to reconvene the meeting on 12 December 2022. This meeting was quorate and the minutes can be downloaded as a pdf here. Documents presented to the AGM are available on the Documents page of this website.

Inaugural meeting 17 February 2021

 

A constitution was adopted at this meeting with the Group being described as a small unincorporated association and officers were elected. The aims of the Group as set out in the constitution are:

To benefit the residents of Wylam and the surrounding area without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by providing, in conjunction with local authorities, voluntary and other organisations as appropriate facilities for recreation, education, arts and culture, heritage, environment, health and wellbeing and community based business activity in the former school building and site (known as the Falcon Centre) on Falcon Terrace, Wylam or elsewhere in the village and to encourage a community spirit, with the overall objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.

 

Note on attendance at general meetings

    

All are welcome to attend general meetings but to vote you must first join the Action Group, if not a member already. There are no subscription fees. You can do this very simply by emailing the membership secretary via the Join us page before the meeting, just giving your name and confirming you meet these requirements:

  • are aged 16 years old or over;

  • live in Wylam or the surrounding area; and

  • support the aims of the Action Group as above.

 

The quorum for a general meeting is10% of the membership or 10 members, whichever is the greater number.
